FOTD: My Sweet Valentine’s
If you’re still thinking of a Valentine’s Day look, here’s a suggestion! Try something smokey with long lashes that aren’t too heavy and lips that don’t require a lot of colour. Highlight cheekbones and brow bones at the very least. This is keeping in mind that Valentine’s means a nice, romantic dinner with your significant other and so lighting will be on the dim side. Heavy lashes aren’t romantic – keep them fluttery and natural-looking instead. You’re going to be eating (I assume), so it’s going to be a hassle if you need to reapply your lipstick after every course. For this, stick with something close to your natural lip colour.
For Face: Dior‘s Diorskin Forever Compact SPF 25 PA++ in Shade 020, Clinique‘s Blushing Blush Powder Blush in 104 Carefree Coral, Candy Doll‘s Blush in Peach Pink and Laneige‘s Love in Bloom Sculpting Blusher.
For Eyes: Shades Innocent, Gun Metal, Noir and Rebel from the Sleek Makeup iDivine 596 Bad Girl palette, Sleek Makeup‘s Shanghai lashes (available on Luxola.com).
For brows: Bobbi Brown‘s Eyeshadow in Shade 61 Saddle.
For lips: Vapour Organic Beauty‘s Siren Lipstick in 418 Possess (my all-time favourite lip colour).
Finally, don’t forget to accessorise and have fun!
